I recently acquired this vintage "Folbot". From what I have researched it's known as a "Super TSK".

This year for May long week end i took a trip to Nopiming Provincial Park. The Rabbit River Drains from Cole Lake into Black Lake Now If you are from Manitoba you'll know that May Long is known for having notoriously bad weather. This year was no exception.

The conditions were fine on The Friday of my departure. Sunny 10 degrees Celsius, no noticeable wind. As I drove past Trapper's, a small convenience store/bait shop/gas bar, I notice a mini van with a snow covered windshield parked out front. An omen of things to come.

Well, I hate to say it. but yes we had snow yesterday :( at least is will be above freezing from now on right?

I Dug out my Red Wood cedar paddle blank that i had started working on last fall. It was to be a winter project but the shed/workshop was more shed than workshop this winter. I'm going to use a dremel to fine tune the shape and take a little more weight off. I hope to add some diamond coat by the time it's finished.

Well it may be spring here in Manitoba, but you wouldn't know it from all the snow we've had recently. The rivers in town are 50% open, and there is an extreme risk of flooding.
